(Catholic Church, Pope Francis, Joel Kotkin) USofA Vatican - Green Pope Francis Goes Medieval on Planet11.Jul.2015
Joel Kotkin, contributing editor for City Journal. Described by the New York Times as “America’s uber-geographer,” Joel Kotkin is an internationally-recognized authority on global, economic, political and social trends. He authored The Human City: Urbanism for the Rest of Us. This article discusses Pope Francis's embrace of the direst ideas about the claims of man-made climate change could usher in a new feudalism that stalls progress and penalizes the world’s poor in the name of supposed environmental safety.
Donald Rapp, Former Full Professor of Physics and Environmental Engineering: The climate of the 19th century wasn’t all that great. It was particularly cold in mid-northern latitudes. Climates always change regardless of human activity. The earth has warmed in the past 120 years, mostly at high northern latitudes; far less in the tropics or southern hemisphere. In many ways, the climate today is “better” than it was in 1850.

Paul Driessen and Tom Tamarkin: Supposedly record-high temperature and carbon dioxide levels supposedly bring record chaos
It matters not that the predicted Climate Change calamities are not happening. There has been no warming in 19 years, no category 3-5 hurricanes making US landfall for a record 9-1/2 years, indeed none of the over-hyped climate disasters occurring in the real world..In fact, poor nations support the treaty mostly because it promises some $100 billion per year in adaptation, mitigation and compensation money from Formerly Rich Countries that have shackled their own job creation, economic growth and living standards in the name of stabilizing Earth’s perpetually fluctuating climate.
