(Argonne National Laboratory, Charles Till, Yoon Chang) USofA - PLENTIFUL ENERGY - The Story of the Integral Fast Reactor. book30.Dec.2019
Charles Till and Yoon Chang provide an excellent history of the development of the Integral Fast Reactor Project and the political decisions to stop this outstanding energy technology in the United States. The world is going to use this technology, while the United States is being deprived due to the ideological decisions of a few.
Van Snyder, Jet Propulsion Laboratory, JPL, Mathematician: Popular discussions about nuclear power eventually get around to at least one of five objections: It's not safe; no one knows what to do about waste; it's too expensive; it leads to nuclear weapons proliferation; or there isn't enough uranium. All of these objections are baseless. It is clearly obvious that nuclear power in the form of safe fast-neutron breeder reactors with on-site electrorefining must be a necessary (and economical) part of the American energy economy. Should the United States develop the technology, or buy it from France, Russia, China and India?
John Shanahan - Dr. Robert Stencel, Physics Professor at the University of Denver invited me to give a talk to his non-science students about NUCLEAR POWER and the related topics of RADIOISOTOPES and RADIATION. These are the topics that Go Nuclear, Inc. focuses on for public education. Information is presented from earlier presentations by outstanding scientists and engineers, who specialize in each area. At the beginning of the semester, many of the students were skeptical. Professor Stencel had them study two books and an MIT report before my presentation. They formulated 23 pages of single spaced questions. Dr. Robert Stencel, Dr. Robert Amme and I are thinking about writing a book centered on these student questions, a primer for the general public. This presentation gained student advocates for nuclear power.
(Argonne National Laboratory, Charles Till) USofA - FRONTLINE INTERVIEW -Why do Americans fear nuclear power19.Feb.2015
Charles Till led a team of thousands of scientists, engineers and technicians in the 1980s up to 1994 in the successful development of one of the world's greatest technologies for producing electricity only to have the project stopped by President Clinton and behind the scenes anti-nuclear activists, non-profits, industry and the government. This is surely one of the greatest reversals ever in modern civilisation. China, Russia and other countries are NOT following the example set by President Clinton and they will be far better for it.
