Tremedous wildfires have happened in the western United States always but now governments and the media in California Oregon and Washington State insist that they are caused by man-made global warming. This false claim will not solve the problem.

Rather than focusing on recovery from extreme weather events, we can aim to reduce future vulnerability and increase thrivability by evolving our infrastructures, policies and practices.
