It is a lot easier to adapt to nature than to pretend that the government can stop or reverse man-made global warming by central planning about use of fossil fuels.

Instead of spending trillions of dollars on fighting the unpredictable changes caused by natural variability (‘autonomous changes’), parliaments should focus on adapting to those changes.
