Fossil fuels and their by-products created the modern world and improved the lives of billions of people. We should appreciate them, not squander them. When they are gone, nuclear power can replace them for generating electricity and manufacture synthetic fuels for other applications.
The world as we know it today will come to an end. Climate Change, new technologies, shale, pressure politics, energy populism, all play together creating a situation where systems that we have taken for granted for decades will come apart. In this unprecedented crisis, humanity will fall back on what works. Methane is the most reasonable solution we have to be clean and not break our economies.
