Canadian crude gets to southern US refineries by rail, and has been transported that way for a very long time (decades). It was and still is refined in the US.
Only recent Democrat Party governments have prevented this outmoded and dangerous method of transport to be replaced by much cheaper, much safer, much less environmentally risky, and much more sensible conveyance by pipeline.
