What are the most amazing details of the universe? Some say gravity that collects matter to form stars and planets, particularly the Earth and fusion energy (in the stars). Can humans build tiny replicas of the stars? All the energy needs of the human race can be met with fission of uranium and plutonium using fertile uranium and thorium. Instead of trying to do what the creator of the universe didn't do, namely make tiny replicas of the stars and put them on planets, wouldn't it be better to put those resources to use for peace and prosperity?
The International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) is already billions of dollars over budget and decades behind schedule. Not even its leaders can say how much more money and time it will take to complete
