Highly questionable German government energy policy near Hamburg in the 2010s and 2020s (promote wind and solar - Down with fossil fuels and nuclear power). After the horrors of WWII, the new German government and German citizens worked hard with help from the Marshall Plan to create peace and prosperty for Europe and countries around the world. It was the best of times which John Shanahan experienced living in Germany in the 1960s. Then came the extreme greens. Things turned upside down. Plentiful, reliable, inexpensive, clean, high density energy is the way to a wonderful, peaceful world with respect for the environment and protect wildlife and biodiversity. France set the best example for wise planning for nuclear power in the 1970s and 80s. Germany, Switzerland and many other European countries did very well also. Now European leaders and Extreme Green non-profits are destroying European economies. How will it end?
The UN COP-26 begins today, October 31, 2021 in Glasgow, Scotland, UK – Halloween, which is eminently appropriate, since the participants' primary goal is to terrify humanity into ignoring this looming energy, economic, health and human rights crisis ... and convince us to forget about natural climate change and take immediate, drastic, but futile action to “prevent a man made climate cataclysm.”
