Jon Boone, environmentalist, naturalist, bird and nature artist, wind energy expert: Jon Boone is a self-made expert, life-long student, author and painter of nature - birds in particular - the follies of wind and solar energy, and most recently, the SarsCOV-2 virus. This article is an excellent synthesis of discovery about SarsCov-2 in the USA. There are two bitterly divided camps on how to manage health care for the virus and keep the economy going. This is an excellent summary by Jon Boone. For the other side see the Center for Disease Control and Dr. Fauci. As with so many things in North America and Europe now-a-days, there are two sides of the discussions: one is right, the other terribly wrong. You decide.
Jon Boone, environmentalist, naturalist, bird and nature artist, wind energy expert: The headlines are that offshore wind energy is revving up. Wind remains a key resource in the “all of the above” arsenal of energy supply promulgated by two Secretary of Energy yardbirds. Wind opposition remains stuck in its “not in my backyard” orientation because so few have even bothered to grasp the reasons for its utter power dysfunction. It can’t even produce modern power. This is central toward understanding why wind continues to have traction in the public square. Along with the wink and a nod from the usual suspects leading the conventional generation crowd, who have always understood that, the more wind generation, the more need for—uh—fossil fuels. Wink, wink—nod....
Steve Goreham, Executive Director, Climate Science Coalition of America: Much of government policy, academic thought, and public opinion stands on fears created and promulgated by environmental sustainable development. The philosophy that humans are too many, too polluting, climate destroying, and profligate wasters of natural resources holds today’s society in a powerful psychological grip. Thousands of energy and environmental laws are justified on these misconceptions. Let’s briefly review why these ideas are incorrect. -- The comment by Jon Boone is worth reading.
(Jon Boone, John Shanahan) USofA - No-Truth, Half-Truths, and Whole-Truth about global energy planning30.Mar.2019
Jon Boone, naturalist, environmentalist, bird expert and artist, wind energy expert and John Shanahan, civil engineer advocate for sound energy planning worldwide: In many countries, energy planning for generation of electricity is a mixed process consisting of No-Truths and Half-Truths promoted by special interest groups of all kinds. For the world to advance as best as possible it would be good to deal simply with Whole-Truths about fossil fuels, hydro-electric and nuclear energy. Similar issues apply to energy for all uses besides electricity. That will be discussed in a separate essay.
