Paul Driessen, senior policy advisor for the Committee For A Constructive Tomorrow: On multiple levels – federal, state and local ... hospitals, industries, armed forces and nursing homes – the United States and nearly every other country seem to have been woefully underprepared for the Coronavirus that came roaring out of Wuhan, China at the end of 2019. If all these countries were paying so little attention to these recurrent pandemics, and spending so little money preparing for them – what WERE they focusing on? The answer is allegedly “dangerous man-made global warming and climate change.” In other words, very little on diseases that hit humanity very hard and quite often – versus enormous, inordinate amounts on a supposed threat that exists primarily in computer models and media headlines, and assumes Earth’s climate was stable and near-perfect until a few decades ago. Most of the Main Stream Media, universsities and National Academies of Science agree with these Wunderkinder.
Ken Buesseler, Senior Scientist, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution: The ocean plays a major role in the global carbon cycle. The driving force comes from tiny plankton that produce organic carbon through photosynthesis, like plants on land. Some of this carbon is consumed by sea life, and a portion is chemically broken down. Much of it is carried to deep waters, where it can remain for hundreds to thousands of years.
Rubert Darwall, strategy consultant and policy analyst. Fellow of the Real Clear Foundation. Read economics and history at Cambridge University: The stated aim of the 1992 UN Framework Convention on Climate Change is to avoid dangerous anthropogenic interference in the climate system. 1.5°C to save small islands is a brilliant soundbite that turns out to be 100% wrong. On what basis did the IPCC mandate net zero by 2050? The process of revising the carbon budget demonstrates it is more of a smoke and mirrors exercise than hard science. Unilateral net zero will make companies, their shareholders, employees, customers and local communities poorer. There is no economic, social or ethical justification for self-impoverishment, as it benefits no-one but green rent-seekers and the West’s competitors.
Fritz Vahrenholt, PhD Chemistry: How did the scientists come together (to oppose catastrophic man-made global warming hysteria) ? The Dutch climate researcher and geophysicist Professor Guus Berkhout took the initiative and wrote to critics of climate models in various countries, including me. We then promoted the text among colleagues. It’s interesting to note that there are about 150 Italian researchers on the lists, about 100 Americans and 70 Dutch, but only 14 Germans. In Germany, the mainstream is particularly dominant – one no longer dares to go against the party line.
What makes you so confident? The greening effect of CO2 is overlooked – or concealed. We should take note of the fact that the emission of greenhouse gases stimulates photosynthesis and, as a result the Sahel zone is getting greener, for example. In recent years, global photosynthesis has increased by 20 percent. Leaves are getting bigger, but also fruit and wheat grains. You cannot conceal these facts forever. Incidentally, without CO2 life on earth would literally suffocate.
