Joseph Samoura experienced the horror of having rebel troops in Sierra Leone enter his home, killing his parents and brothers and sisters. He was playing in the yard and escaped. For the rest of his childhood he lived on the street and in vacant buildings, sometimes cared for by old men, sometimes by families. As an adult he is the founder of a school for homeless children like he himself once was. He is married to a wonderful woman. The have two children of their own and two adopted homeless children.
