Reinhard Storz's life story is very important for understanding the sad situation in Europe and North America today. Born in 1941 in Germany, he and his family experienced life of ordinary Germans in Nazi Germany in WWII and the German recovery up through the 1960s with the help of the Marshall Plan. John Shanahan, Founder of the website allaboutenergy.net has many life long German friends in the same situation. He had an excellent technical school and university education and a career as a Marine Engineer for diesel powered commercial ships. In the later part of his career he was trained as Marine Engineer for nuclear powered ships and was the supervisor of a German research reactor. He has spent a lot of time in retirement being a guest auditor and lecturer at a university in Cologne.

In this presentation, he explains the history of slavery and slave trade. The use of fossil fuels eliminated a lot of slavery and improved life for billions of people. Reinhard Storz is one of over 1,300 contributing authors to the website allaboutenergy.net. His enthusiasm for explaining energy and government related problems in Europe and North America today and helping others learn is exemplary.
