Thormod Henriksen is Emeritus Professor of Physics at the University of Oslo in Norway. Early in life he was given large doses of radiation to treat complications from tuberculosis. He is in his eighties and healthy. He dedicated his life to research, education and writing books about radiation and health.
Professor Thormod Henriksen and his team of scientists at the University of Oslo Physics Department in Norway have given the public free access to a tremendous book: "Radiation and Health." We can not express enough gratitude. This is rare and unusual in academia in other countries, where textbooks routinely cost hundreds of dollars per semester. Dr. Henriksen's book is full of interesting and easy to understand information about radiation, radioactivity, artificial radioactive isotopes and nuclear medicine.
S. K. Jain provides an overview from the distant past, recent past, present and into the future for the use of nuclear energy and nuclear science in India. Very clear what needs to be done.
