Ken Haapala, SEPP, The Science and Environmental Policy Project: Richard Lindzen’s paper summarizes what we know with reasonable certainty, what we suspect, and what we know is incorrect about climate change, the greenhouse effect, temperature trends, climate modeling, ocean chemistry, and sea level rise. Key parts included: 1) The climate system is never in equilibrium. 2) The core of the system consists of two turbulent fluids interacting with each other and unevenly heated by the sun. 3) The two most important substances in the greenhouse effect are water vapor and clouds, which are not fully understood. 4) A vital component of the atmosphere is water in its liquid, solid, and vapor phases and the changes in phases with immense dynamic consequences. 5) Doubling carbon dioxide, (CO2), creates a 2% disturbance to the normal flow of energy, which is similar to the disturbance created by changes in clouds and other natural features. 6) Temperatures in the tropics have been extremely stable. Temperature differences between the tropics and polar regions are extremely important.

The Hill, Miyoko Sakashita: A disturbing new climate change study predicts global temperature increases of up to 8 degrees Fahrenheit as atmospheric carbon concentrations double. Humanity, it’s clear, is close to missing the chance to avoid the worst ravages of fossil fuel pollution. This study is just the latest alarm going off to demand climate action now. We can’t wait any longer to stop drilling and mining for fossil fuels in our public lands and waters. Such public-lands extraction causes about a quarter of U.S. greenhouse gas pollution. .. .. This is about as much baseless alarmism as any to date. We post it to be inclusive for articles from all points of view and remind people with better sense and science on this topic to be vigilant of these extremist views appearing in government plolicy.

Michael Shellenberger, Environmental Progress: He has proven his dedication to truth about carbon dioxide from fossil fuels, commitment to humanitarian needs and protecting the environment. For all practical purposes, he has abandoned the extreme global warming alarmism of his advisor, James Hansen. Hansen has dedicated years to supporting a lawsuit to stop use of fossil fuels and force these energy companies to pay vast sums to the public treasury for having produced carbon dioxide, an essential molecule in the cycle of life. God bless Shellenberger. God .... Hansen.

Roy Spencer, meteorologist. While 2020 will be at or near record-warmth globally, this is not something we should be particularly alarmed about. The recent claim of the first 100 deg. F temperature reading above the Arctic Circle in Siberia is incorrect; it was 100 deg. F in Ft. Yukon, Alaska way back in 1915. The town in Siberia measuring 100 deg. F (Verkhoyansk) is notable for its exceedingly cold winters and hot summers, holding the Guinness World Record for the largest observed seasonal temperature swing: an astonishing 189 deg. F.
