Chris Bischof, Bakken Oil Business Journal: At the beginning of December 2015, leaders from almost every nation in the world met in Paris to discuss Climate Change and to create plans aimed at reducing the amount of carbon released into the atmosphere. They believe the failure to cut back on carbon emissions – greenhouse gases – will lead to a global temperature increase that would unleash an existential crisis upon humanity. The total for all NASA piloted programs from 1959 to 2015 adds up to $275 billion, or about $500 billion in today’s dollars. The $44 Trillion estimate (and it is open ended, not a cap or maximum) for putting the brakes on climate change is almost 100 times the cost of our expeditions into space. Do we have any way of knowing if this huge outlay would save the world, as the representative from Tuvalu has declared it would? We do not.

S.J. Crockford, PolarBearScience.com: National Geographic picked up the video and added subtitles. It became the most viewed video on National Geographic’s website—ever. … The mission was a success, but there was a problem: We had lost control of the narrative. The first line of the National Geographic video said, “This is what climate change looks like”—with “climate change” highlighted in the brand’s distinctive yellow. In retrospect, National Geographic went too far with the caption.

Thorpe Watson, metallurgical engineering and materials science: The history of CO2, together with a scientific analysis of the facts pertaining to CO2, reveal that it is impossible to generate too much CO2. Nevertheless, climate-change alarmists continue to demand the reduction of CO2 emissions to prevent runaway warming, an unfounded fear. In reality, an imminent climate threat is a repeat of the Little Ice Age (1300 to 1870). These reoccurring cold periods have resulted in mass migrations and the collapse of civilizations.

Mario Loyola - The Danish scientist Bjørn Lomborg, a prominent critic of the top-down international conference approach to climate change, called the Paris agreement (COP21, December 2015) the “costliest in history” if implemented. According to Lomborg, the agreement would “reduce temperatures by 2100 by just 0.05 degrees Celsius (0.09 degrees Fahrenheit)…. This is simply cynical political theater, meant to convince us that our leaders are taking serious action…a phenomenally expensive but almost empty gesture.” NASA scientist Jim Hansen, one of the earliest proponents of the idea that global warming is manmade, slammed the deal as “half-assed and half-baked,” a “fake,” and a “fraud.”

Civil Engineering: It all begins when the sun’s incoming energy heats the surface of the Earth. Some of that energy is then given off as infrared light, which is usually called “long wave radiation” or LWR. A lot of this LWR simply passes through the atmosphere and goes out into space, where it is gone forever. But some of it is intercepted and absorbed by GHG molecules. These energized molecules then give off this absorbed LWR energy to the rest of the air as heat. (Heat is not a substance; rather it is just molecular motion.) So at this point we can say that the CO2 has heated the air and this is as far as the alarmists go. What they do not mention is that when this heat energizes other GHG molecules, they give off LWR, thereby removing the heat. So the energy comes into the air as LWR and becomes heat, then it goes out again as LWR, and is gone. No heat is trapped in this process.

Ken Haapala, SEPP, The Science and Environmental Policy Project - Those promoting fear of carbon dioxide (CO2) primarily use three possible threats: one, dangerous increased temperatures; two, change in ocean chemistry (called ocean acidification); and three, drastic sea level rise. John Christy’s February 2, 2016 testimony to the U.S. House Committee on Science, Space & Technology empirically demolishes the argument that increasing CO2 is causing significant global warming. Another fear is rapid sea level rise. Sea levels have risen about 400 feet, 120 meters, since the maximum extent of the last major Ice Age about 18,000 years ago. They will continue to rise until the onset of the next ice age.

The Week That Was, Ken Haapala, Fred Singer, Donald Rapp: “The biggest problem today (I think) in climate matters is that we, as a community of scientists, have succumbed to social pressures and have thereby given up on the scientific method, .. .. .. And so we have become relegated to something akin to the trench warfare that prevailed in WW-I when opposing forces were stalemated into probing attacks that went nowhere."

Thus we will continue to benefit from the one thing that can be clearly attributed to elevated carbon dioxide: namely, its effective role as a plant fertilizer, and reducer of the drought vulnerability of plants.

Although wars are ongoing, there is no major world war, killing millions. There are no major famines, other than those created by government policies. World grain reserves are full, and production is increasing greatly in tropical countries, which were once considered too hot, with too thin, too acidic soils to be major grain producers. There is still much to do, particularly in Africa, South America and Asia. This week, the UN hosted a circus, celebrating fears of carbon dioxide (CO2)-caused climate change featuring children and the fears and horrors their parents and teachers have taught them.

Peter James Spielmann, Associated Press: UNITED NATIONS (AP) _ A senior U.N. environmental official says entire nations could be wiped off the face of the Earth by rising sea levels if the global warming trend is not reversed by the year 2000. Coastal flooding and crop failures would create an exodus of ″eco- refugees,′ ′ threatening political chaos, said Noel Brown, director of the New York office of the U.N. Environment Program, or UNEP. He said governments have a 10-year window of opportunity to solve the greenhouse effect before it goes beyond human control. That was 1989. Thirty years later, 2019, nature, wildlife, the world's economy and life overall have just gotten better. Alarmist lies and fearmongering.

Washington Post, Brady Dennis: The world has squandered so much time mustering the action necessary to combat climate change that rapid, unprecedented cuts in greenhouse gas emissions offer the only hope of averting an ever-intensifying cascade of consequences, according to new findings from the United Nations.

Now no roots hold the hills together when it rains. Some people are ignoring this history and human causes for these “natural” disasters. They blame rains and mudslides on man-made global warming, climate change and fossil fuels that modern industrialized countries burn to provide modern homes, travels and living standards. Former Vice President of the United States Al Gore said man-made global warming has increased the number and strength of tornadoes and hurricanes, He predicted that Arctic summers would be ice-free as soon as 2014. None of this happened. So he just changed the year when the disasters will hit.

Steven Lyazi is a member of the EFN-USA Board of Advisors in Kampala, Uganda. He describes the problems facing people and the environment in Uganda and across much of Africa. Many serious problems are rooted in African society and government. Other problems are imposed on Africa by environmental activists, western powers and UN agencies dictate what issues are important – and use them to keep us poor and deprived: manmade climate change, no GMO foods, no DDT to prevent malaria, using wind and solar power and never building coal, natural gas or nuclear power plants. This is a criminal trick that denies basic rights to affordable energy, jobs and modern living standards.

The IPCC (United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) has no geologists among the hundreds of authors of its last major report (2013/14) and at most 1 geologist in the next report. Thus IPCC focuses on only the last 170 years (since multiple reliable thermometer measurements began, ~1850), yet Earth is 26 million (sic) times older, 4.5 billion years. Geologists know that throughout this time Earth has constantly warmed or cooled (never static). Thus 'climate change' (warming or cooling) is perfectly usual. During the last 11,650 years, our current ‘Holocene’ interglacial epoch, climate change has repeatedly been fast enough to cause collapse of civilizations.

The IPCC’s very existence relies on public belief in ‘Anthropogenic (man-made) Global Warming' (AGW) by CO2 emissions. Most IPCC authors, mainly government and university researchers, are biased by strong vested interests in AGW - Anthropogenic Global Warming (publications; reputations; continuance of salaries; research grants).

The "greenhouse effect... a slight misnomer" (Wiki; in fact a complete misnomer;)... "is the process by which radiation from a planet's atmosphere warms the planet's surface". This bold claim that Earth's land- and ocean surfaces are warmed by the air is 'backwards'. In truth the (solar-warmed) ocean warms the atmosphere, as shown by three observations: (1) ocean-surface water (covering ~70% of Earth) is almost everywhere warmer (fractionally) than the air above it; (2) changes in global average surface air temperature lag 1 to 1.5 months behind corresponding changes in global sea-surface temperature; and (3) Antarctica has failed to warm in the last several decades (attributed to the ice sheet's high elevation delaying the landward penetration of ocean-warmed air). These facts indicate that heat (only capable of flowing one way, from warmer to cooler) flows outward, from the ocean to the air, not vice versa. A truthful summary of the greenhouse effect is that solar energy absorbed at Earth’s surface is radiated back into the atmosphere as heat, some of which is absorbed on its way out to space by greenhouse gases. Thus greenhouse gases cause no warming; instead they reduce the air's heat loss to space, exactly in the manner demonstrated by the great John Tyndall (Bullet 2B), who experimentally confirmed (1860) what is now called the greenhouse effect.

It is clear from the remarks of Prince Charles’s central banker Mark Carney, Sir Michael Bloomberg, and BlackRock CEO Larry Fink at the Glasgow “Suicide Summit” called COP26, that they have a) great financial momentum in organizing the worldwide 1% to cut off new fossil fuel investment, and b) a great problem—the “green finance” investments are failures.

The Lancet: This is a collection of articles by The Lancet and others claiming that mankind by its use of fossil fuels is causing catastrophic anthropogenic global warming, climate change and climate disruption. They claim that it is clear that use of fossil fuels is the cause. Others focus on the immediately obvious major challenges facing humanity, the environment and nature.
