The G7 is an informal grouping of seven of the world's advanced economies: Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, the United States and the European Union. The leaders and their spokespersons (John F Kerry) demand that their countries stop using fossil fuels. This is absurd. There is no justification for such a drastic change. Abandoning fossil fuels will destroy their economies. John Kerry and his counterparts say that investments in fossil fuels have to be stamped out, except when they help Europe end its catastrophic dependence on Russian gas.

That was the mixed message Friday from climate ministers of the world’s top industrialized democracies. The G7 called for an end to international investments in fossil fuels by the end of this year and slammed private finance for continuing to back dirty energy — but left a big out for EU countries desperate to replace Russian gas.

The UN COP-26 begins today, October 31, 2021 in Glasgow, Scotland, UK – Halloween, which is eminently appropriate, since the participants' primary goal is to terrify humanity into ignoring this looming energy, economic, health and human rights crisis... and convince us to forget about natural climate change and take immediate, drastic, but futile action to “prevent a man made climate cataclysm.”

At the beginning of March, Frans Timmermans, the European Union’s Executive Vice President for the European Green New Deal and European Commissioner for Climate Action, announced that EU nations planning to burn coal as an alternative to Russian natural gas are not out of line with the EU’s climate goals.

As Bill Winters, CEO of the British multinational banking and financial services firm Standard Chartered, said just last week, “The idea that we can turn off the taps and end fossil fuels tomorrow, it’s obviously ridiculous and naïve. First of all, it’s not going to happen and secondly, it would be very disruptive.”

Dennis Avery, Townhall: In 2016, the world’s top particle physics research facility, CERN, turned the global warming debate upside down. CERN found, in the first-ever laboratory analysis of cloud chemistry, that solar variations—not CO2 molecules—were the biggest factor in the earth’s recent warmings! To be fair, climate modelers always admitted that clouds were the biggest unsolved mystery in climate change. Two events, a solar minimum and solar sun spot minimum could mean no trend increase in earth’s thermometer readings from 1998 until after 2100! That’s a century of non-warming, and neither occurrence is connected to CO2 changes.

O.R. Adams Jr. is a retired lawyer. He prepared this paper in 2011 about CO2 from fossil fuels and man-made global warming. Howard Cork Hayden, Emeritus Physics Professor, University of Connecticut: There is no such thing as safe energy. To ask for such is to ask for gasoline that doesn't burn. Nuclear is the safest generation scheme for electricity, but one should always bear in mind that energy saves far more lives than it costs, no matter what the source. Do not pollute a strong pro-nuclear case with weak arguments ("climate change"). If the weather turns cold for a year or two, the anti-nukes will push the argument that you pro-nukes lied to them about global warming to inflict nuclear power on an unwary public.

Rob Quinn, Newser: A recent United Nations report warned that the world had just a dozen years left to avoid some of the most catastrophic effects of climate change. A new study suggests that assessment was far too optimistic. Researchers using a new method to calculate the amount of heat absorbed by the world's oceans say the buildup of heat over the last 25 years is 60% higher than previous estimates, meaning the world is warming significantly faster than expected, the BBC reports. While we have just learned that the oceans have warmed so much that the world is going to have catastrophic climate change, see photos added to article of what some people are doing to deal with this crisis. How many will stop dead in their tracks to stop using fossil fuels? Can the world be saved?

Patrick Moore, Ph.D. in Ecology, is a founding member of Greenpeace, who turned realist. "I love nature and people are part of nature - all people and all living things. I believe in one human family. All watersheds are connected. Environmentalism must be beyond nationalism, politics and ideology."

Civil Engineering: “Because of the flaws found in this form of sampling, scientists cannot draw concrete conclusions from their data.” So the global warming scare is based on global statistics that have little credibility, are virtually worthless and cannot be used to draw concrete conclusions. What a mess! Alarmist climate science is falling all over itself trying to explain a two-decade period of rapid warming that the satellites say does not exist. They are faking it. There is nothing to explain.

Donald Rapp, Former Full Professor of Physics and Environmental Engineering: It has become a fashionable exercise for some to count the number of published climate papers that seem to subscribe to the alarmist agenda. Unfortunately it is thoroughly unclear exactly what that agenda is. Furthermore, the overwhelming majority of published papers are specific, narrowly focused, and relate to a particular aspect of climate change; very few deal with the big picture of climate change vs. greenhouse gases.
