Editor's note: The author introduces the term "Climate Change Deniers." This is a pejorative invention that hardly exists. Most scientists who challenge man-made global warming alarmism fully acknowledge that Earth's climate as a whole changes all the time due to many natural factors. They acknowledge that humans change climate on a regional and local basis through agricultural practices, river, dam, and irrigation practices, forest mismanagement, and buildings, parking lots, and highways that cause heat islands and excessive, unnatural rain runoff. These things are tradeoffs for modern living. They need to be studied and better managed. The author claims, without documentation, that "Climate Change Deniers" practice false and deceptive activism. We are not aware of any. We challenge the author to provide verified significant evidence or remove those statements.

A fictional story by Jean Giono in 1953, "The Man Who Planted Trees," describes how humans change the climate in a small region of France to dry and barren by cutting down all the trees. The efforts of one man planting thousands of trees over a period of years restored a healthy climate with rainfall and streams.

Why on earth do we attribute any heating of the oceans to carbon dioxide, when there is a far more obvious culprit, and when such a straightforward examination of the thermodynamics render it impossible.

What we think the author intends to say is that carbon dioxide from fossil fuels is not going to cause catastrophic global warming nor an irreversible climate tipping point.

Earth Surface Temperature warmed approximately ("~") 0.7 degrees Celsius ("C") from ~1910 to ~1945, cooled ~0.4 C from ~1945 to ~1975, warmed ~0.6 C from ~1975 to 1997, and has not warmed significantly from 1997 to 2007. CO2 emissions due to human activity rose gradually from the onset of the Industrial Revolution, reaching ~1 billion tonnes per year (expressed as carbon) by 1945, and then accelerated to ~9 billion tonnes per year by 2007. Since ~1945 when CO2 emissions accelerated, Earth experienced ~22 years of warming, and ~40 years of either cooling or absence of warming. it is appropriate to cease all CO2 abatement programs that are not cost-effective, and focus efforts on sensible energy efficiency, clean water and the abatement of real atmospheric pollution, including airborne NOx, SOx and particulate emissions. The tens of trillions of dollars contemplated for CO2 abatement should be saved or re-allocated to truly important global priorities.

Calvin Beisner, Cornwall Alliance: Pollutant, according to Mirriam-Webster’s, denotes “something that pollutes,” and to pollute is “to make physically impure or unclean” or “to contaminate (an environment) especially with man-made waste.” The Google online dictionary defines pollutant as “a substance that pollutes something, especially water or the atmosphere,” and pollute as to “contaminate (water, air, or a place) with harmful or poisonous substances.” Carbon dioxide isn’t harmful or poisonous except at concentrations over a hundred times higher than its concentration in Earth’s atmosphere—levels that we’ll never approach by burning fossil fuels.

Jay Lehr, Ph.D. Science Director at The Heartland Institute: Many science and technology institutions and local and national governments use the term carbon to mean carbon dioxide. They refer to a person's, company's or country's "carbon footprint." Carbon brings to mind dirty carbon soot, not the colorless, odorless gas of life, carbon dioxide, which is what is really meant. Dr. Lehr explains the reason for this deliberate deception. It is like the deception of man-made global warming being called "climate change." Some countries don't tolerate this misuse of science. They will have far better energy programs and be in positions to take advantage of every weakness the "carbon footprint" using countries have. Electricity generation in 2019 increased by 5% compared with the previous year. That from fossil fuels was 5045 TWh (69%), from hydro 1302 TWh (18%), nuclear 349 TWh (5%), wind 406 TWh (6%) and solar 224 TWh (3%).

As America goes down the Green rabbit hole, chasing Germany and the UK’s failing efforts, China and Russia should be sending Thank You cards for the gift to control America’s energy needs.

America is in a fast pursuit toward achieving President Biden’s stated goal that “we are going to get rid of fossil fuels.” Today, Biden supports and encourages banks and investment giants to collude to reshape economies and energy infrastructure with their Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) divesting in fossil fuels movement. ESG is an extremely dangerous precedent as the American people never voted to give banks this sort of control over our country.

The Wall Street Journal reports that China is going to switch to all electric vehicles in a few decades. This decision sounds good to those who insist that the world convert to electric vehicles, but there are tremendous challenges in the details. Where else in the market place have leaders made decisions like this for whole nations? One example is Roman Emperor Constantine. He switch the Roman Empire from the Roman pagan religion to Christianity overnight. You might be able to do that for ethereal things like religion, but can and should it be done for material things as important as the transportation sector?
