This weather pattern along with blizzards, floods and hurricanes in other parts of the world cause the poor and homeless to suffer and die and livestock to perish. Which is most important for the world to deal with: extreme weather, natural climate change, man-made climate change? Should nuclear energy experts be focusing on man-made climate change or on existence threatening problems in government, industry and public thinking? This presents all sides so you can decide.

Bill Gates has a clear vision of a better world through working together for peace, prosperity, plentiful energy, good education, strong economies and respect for the environment. This requires advanced nuclear power technologies which he is spending billions of his hard earned fortune on to develop. Will the politicians and regulators stop holding nuclear back?

The earth is indeed maintained at a higher temperature than it would otherwise be, all due to the atmosphere. So how does the atmosphere do that?  Answer: It has very little to do with CO2, and little (but more) to do with water vapour.  During daylight hours, the sun warms the earth.  99.9% (not just 99.0%) of the atmosphere is nearly completely transparent to incoming radiation, but the earth's surfaces absorb a lot of that energy and some parts of it more so than others. This explains why black pavement is so much hotter during hot summer days than is the lighter colored sidewalk right beside the pavement.  It is also why we feel cooler in the shade when the temperature of the atmosphere is the same in or out of the shade. Why? Because the vast portion of the atmosphere can't absorb incoming radiation from the sun, but human beings can.

Last year, according to the Energy Information Administration, residential power prices in California jumped by nearly 12 percent, to an average of 22.85 cents per kilowatt-hour. California residential users now pay about 66 percent more for electricity than homeowners in the rest of the U.S., who pay an average of 13.72 cents per kilowatt-hour.

Word from Arizona is that they are seeing varieties of flowers blossom this spring that haven't bloomed in many decades. How do desert plants survive decades without enough water and then display such beauty?

The purpose of catastrophic man-made global warming alarmism is not that the alarmists know how to predict the climate decades into the future when they can't predict the weather one week ahead or that the alarmist computer models have duplicated any of the past billion years of climate change or that they can reverse man-made climate change as the US government claimed in 2015-16.

The assumption stated and implied in the question is that human-made CO2 has increased global CO2, and this increased CO2 and the greenhouse effect (GHE) continue to increase global temperatures. But, as discussed below, this new fantasy of carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) can become a global economic disaster even if it works. So, let us examine the relevant science, facts, and historical records and see where they lead us.

There's another deception here. People have been led to believe that CO2 remains in the atmosphere for a long time and keeps increasing and accumulating. But that is not the case as more atmospheric CO2 becomes available, plants and phytoplankton gobble it faster, allowing plants to grow bigger, faster, and more plentiful. This is demonstrated by the fact that the earth has been greening like crazy and arid regions are decreasing.

All ‘Green Energy Solutions’ are ‘A Big Green Lie’

Knowledge is an essential part of making Informed Decisions. False Data and Misleading Information is wrapped up in the ‘Propaganda’ promoting Electric Cars and ‘Green Energy’ and the ‘Emissions Free’ Myth. Simple math and Scientific facts dispute this propaganda - It is NOT Climate-Denial or Anti-Environmentalism. It is simple Science that everybody should know.

1. Since the 1920’s, trends in extreme weather events show neither higher frequency nor higher severity.

2. The average global temperature over the last 100+ years has risen by only 0.9 degrees centigrade.

3. The oceans are not rising any faster than they have been for at least the last 300 years

4. Whatever the capacity for CO2 to trap heat, that impact diminishes on a logarithmic scale, because the infrared wavelengths (heat) that CO2 absorbs is essentially at saturation levels already.

5. The world consumes about 100 million barrels of crude each and every day, and this consumption has been steadily rising since we first discovered it and learned how to use it.

6. Water vapour is not only a far better absorber of infrared (heat) but it is generally present at atmospheric concentrations several magnitudes higher than that of CO2 at typical summer temperatures.

7. The only ‘indication’ of future catastrophic temperatures are the results of computer models.

The idea that mankind could control the climate with a trace gas, carbon dioxide ("CO2"), was very intriguing and something that farmers could only hope for in their wildest dreams. Regretfully, my investigation failed to discover any scientific evidence to support the man-made global warming hypothesis. It appears that CO2-induced, climate change exists solely in the mythical, computer world of fatally flawed climate models. It is a childish delusion!

Keen to survive when dead-calm, freezing weather sets in? You’d better have access to nuclear or fossil-fuelled power sources, simply because wind and solar generators are bound to deliver absolutely nothing, at all.

The United States and Canada have a lot to collaborate on in the nuclear energy field, and they seem to be doing a good job of it. Each country is considering each other’s reactor designs and each has funded or chosen to review some of those from both countries.

An advantage of the high-temperature heat from an IMSR plant is that it would be delivered as a molten salt mixture using an inexpensive pipe loop, using an approach already in industrial use today. As a result, the IMSR power plant can replace fossil fuels in producing hydrogen and ammonia, chemical processing, and new applications such as clean synthetic transport fuels.
